The underground station "Zwickauer Damm" is located at the edge of the large housing estate Gropiusstadt/Berlin. Gropiusstadt was designed and built in the 1960s and 1970s by the Bauhaus architect Walter Gropius. With this project, fragments of the surrounding architecture and colouring are merged on the different areas of the concrete figure. The single parts adapt to the figure's building lines. And, the environment of the underground station is broken up and recomposed on the concrete to an abstract collage comprising graphic and realistic elements. In doing so, the clarity of the architecture is retained and determines the graphic elements. The colour concept reflects the dominating colours of the environment.
